To replace the thermostat on the Volkswagen Tiguan, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. Here, you will find the thermostat on the right side of the engine block, connected to the coolant hose. Disconnect the hose, then loosen the screws securing the thermostat and disconnect its connector.

Once the old thermostat is removed, insert the new one, reassemble all removed components, and check that everything is functioning.
