Removing the Door Panel on a Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Remove the cover panel if damaged or if you need to access the interior. Here’s how to remove the panel on a Polo. Pry at the handle that includes the window switch buttons, disconnect the power cables. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the Torx screws located inside the internal door handle, taking care not to scratch it. Release all the clips by prying around the entire perimeter of the door panel, then pull it away using your hands. Now disconnect the opening lever cable, the window regulator connectors, and the speakers. Don’t lose any of the clips located behind the panel. Refit the panel after maintenance.
