Replacing the Rear Brake Light Bulb in a Volkswagen Touran

Before replacing the brake light bulb in a 2006 Volkswagen Touran, position the car on a level surface or on a lift to ensure the operator's safety while working. After taking these precautions, use a screwdriver to pry off the plastic cover above and to the inside of the rear light unit. Unscrew the two screws found on the inner side and pull the entire light unit outwards. Disconnect the electrical supply and remove the unit containing the bulb holders by simply unclipping it from the rest of the assembly. Now, replace the bulb of interest and reassemble everything by following the reverse of the described operations.
