Handbrake Adjustment on Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Remove the tray located behind the handbrake by simply pulling it out. If you encounter difficulties, use a wedge or a small flat screwdriver for assistance. At this point, you will see the handbrake adjustment nut: using a 10 mm ratchet spanner, loosen or tighten it based on the issue with your handbrake (it may engage too early or not at all). After loosening or tightening it a bit, test the handbrake to see if you are satisfied with the result; if not, adjust the nut again. Refit the tray and you're done.
