How to Replace the Reversing Bulb on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Before you can start, open the tailgate of your Volkswagen Golf. First, move the carpet covering the hole to access the inside of the light. Next, unclip and extract the bulb holder from its housing, then disconnect the relevant electrical connector. This will give you access to the blown reversing bulb, which you need to unclip and remove, successfully completing the disassembly. To fit the new bulb and close everything up, simply follow these steps in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
