How to Remove the Air Vents from the Dashboard of a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

Before you begin, sit in the driver's seat of your Volkswagen Golf. Start by prising off and removing the radio trim, then unscrew and remove the screws securing the radio to the dashboard, and pull it out of its housing. This will expose the screws that hold the air vents in place, which you will need to unscrew and remove. At this point, pry out and detach the air vents, and finally disconnect the connector. Once you have disconnected the electrical connector for the hazard switch, the disassembly will be complete.
