Removing the Door Panel and Window Switches on Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B8, 3G, MK 8 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Door trim panel

Using a plastic wedge, remove the long central trim on the door panel. With the same method, lever in the gap to remove the cover of the central handle and unscrew the underlying T30 Torx screw. Also, unscrew the bolts securing the panel from underneath, then remove the window switches by prying from below and disconnecting their connectors. At this point, simply pull the panel away from the door (work carefully), or use a trim tool if necessary. Disconnect the cables, and you're done.
