Replacing the air filter is a very simple task. The air filter should be replaced every 9,000 to 12,500 miles. The replacement frequency also depends on the type of roads driven; dusty roads require more frequent changes, even at 6,200 miles. The first step is to unscrew the filter retaining strap, followed by the oil recovery pipe. Remove the hose clamp. Once the old filter is removed, clean any dust from the inside and carefully insert the new filter into its housing, attaching the extension pipe with the four screws provided in the kit.
