Replacing the Rear Shock Absorbers on a Volkswagen New Beetle

In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the rear shock absorbers on a New Beetle. Lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheel you intend to start with by simply unscrewing the bolts and taking it out. Using a 16 mm socket, unscrew the upper bolts of the shock absorber (they are quite tight). Apply some penetrating spray to the lower bolts, also 16 mm, and unscrew these as well. Continue following the procedure shown in the video to remove the rear shock absorbers. Be aware that while it may seem simple when watching the video, this procedure is suitable only for more experienced mechanics. Cheers!
