How to Open the Fuel Flap of a Volkswagen Tiguan

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016

If you are inside the vehicle, you will need to get out. Once you have exited your Tiguan, approach the fuel flap. To open it, apply a slight pressure on it. This will slightly unclip it; to fully open it, simply pull it towards yourself. After this step, you will have the freedom to open the inner cap by turning it anti-clockwise. If you do not remember what type of fuel your car requires, you can read it on the cap. Once the inner cap is opened, you are completely free to refuel your car and set off for your destination.
