The guide shows how to replace the diesel filter on Volkswagen Tiguan. The first operation consists in securing the vehicle and opening the bonnet. The diesel filter can be easily reached from the engine compartment without the need to lift the machine. Once the diesel filter housing has been identified, located behind the right front light, you can proceed with disassembly. Using a Torx T20 wrench and a split screwdriver it is possible to remove the cap screws; disconnect the pipes that reach the filter from their respective stops. Lift the cap of the tank compartment with a screwdriver. At this point it is possible to remove the old filter and let it drain and install the new filter with the respective new gasket. Close the compartment and start the engine for a few minutes to moisten the new filter.
