Replacing the Number Plate Bulb on a Volkswagen Golf 5

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

The bulb that illuminates the number plate on a Volkswagen Golf 5 is held in place by two screws, one on each side. Unscrew these screws with a cross-head screwdriver, then insert a small flat screwdriver into the side slot on your right, highlighted in the video with a red circle. Pry it out in this way, and the light unit will come out of its housing. Now, remove the bulb from the light unit by pulling it out from the two side clips. Insert a new equivalent bulb and reassemble everything in reverse order. Fit the light unit back and screw it in on both sides. Check that the bulb is functioning correctly.
