How do you replace the license plate light bulb of the Volkswagen Golf?

In order to replace the license plate light bulb of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to use a tool to pry off the corresponding overhead light located just above the license plate. Once this is removed, you can disconnect the corresponding connector and remove the bulb inside. The new bulb can then be connected to the connector and inserted into the overhead light. The overhead light can now be secured back in place above the license plate to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
