This guide explains how to remove and replace the bulb of the number plate light or the entire unit on a Volkswagen Golf in simple, quick steps. First, move to the rear and start by unscrewing the fixing screw located on the side of the unit using a cross-head screwdriver; then, lever it out to remove the unit, replacing only the number plate light if necessary.

At this point, disconnect the electrical connector of the bulb and install the new unit, connecting it and securing it with the screw!
