To replace the number plate lights with LED ones on the Volkswagen Golf 6, start by unclipping the light unit from the bumper of the car, disconnect the connector from the number plate light unit, connect an adapter with the LED attached, clip it onto the original socket, connect it to the number plate light unit, and reclip it to the bumper of the car; perform the same operation for the other number plate light and finally check the correct functioning of the lights by simply turning on the side lights with just the instrument panel powered.
