To replace the cabin fan resistor on the Volkswagen Caddy, access the interior of the vehicle and lower the carpet in the footwell, just below the glove compartment on the passenger side. The cabin fan resistor can be easily located and disconnected from its connector. Once the connector is disconnected, the new resistor can be connected and inserted into its housing. After replacing the resistor, reposition the carpet that was lowered earlier.
