In order to replace the resistor of the Volkswagen Caddy's passenger compartment fan, it is necessary to access the passenger compartment and lower the carpet located in the footrest compartment, immediately under the glovebox on the passenger side. The resistor of the passenger compartment fan can be easily identified and disconnected from its connector. Once the connector has been disconnected, the new resistor can be connected to the connector and inserted into its housing. After replacing the fan, the previously lowered carpet can be repositioned.
