How to Replace the Battery of the Volkswagen Up?

Removing the battery from the Volkswagen Up is a very simple task. Follow this guide that shows how to do it and also how to test the battery to determine if it needs replacing. First, disconnect the connector from the control unit and remove the plastic cover. You can choose whether to keep the control unit powered or not, depending on how long you need to leave the battery disconnected; however, it should not be necessary for a simple and quick replacement. Remove the 13mm bolt from the lower bracket and the bracket itself, and at this point, the battery is ready to be replaced. The installation follows the same procedure but in reverse.
