The following steps will show you the procedure for removing and replacing the battery of the Volkswagen Up, as well as the Skoda Citigo and Seat Mii. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start unscrewing the fixing screws located at the base of the battery brackets using a socket spanner with an extension; then disconnect both battery terminals (positive and negative), as shown in the video.

At this point, remove and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type and the same amperage; refit the battery ensuring it is inserted the right way.
