First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the gear gaiter, prying it off with something thin; then disconnect the electrical connectors from the plate located underneath, as shown in the video.

At this point, detach the clip that connects the gear gaiter to the knob; then replace and reassemble everything, following the tutorial video to the end!
