Replacing the remote battery on your Volkswagen Golf 4 is very simple and requires just a few steps. First, purchase lithium coin cell batteries 2032 from a retailer. Open the remote key and use a flat screwdriver to carefully separate the remote horizontally, detaching the plastic cover that holds the metal key from the lower part where the battery is housed, being careful not to damage the cover with the screwdriver. Now take the bottom part and open it from the centre; it will separate into two parts, allowing you to replace the old battery with the new one. To complete the operation, reassemble all the parts.
