In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI by following these steps: first, open the engine bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop to prevent it from falling. Now, remove the plastic cover that protects the timing belt. Using a spanner, loosen the roller that tensions the belt and slide the belt out of its seat. Now, using a socket wrench, unscrew the tensioning bolt of the roller. Next, remove the water pump from its seat. Now, install all the new parts such as the water pump, timing belt, and tighten everything with the socket wrench.
