Today, we will go through the steps to remove and replace the timing belt on the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI. First, open the bonnet and start removing the engine cover; then remove the pipes located on the left side by unscrewing the screws of the fuel filter to take it out, as shown in the video. At this point, unscrew the screws of the engine mount; lift the vehicle to remove the wheel and disconnect the auxiliary belt by removing the crankshaft pulley. Once the timing cover is removed, proceed to take the timing references!
