Replacing the Fuel Filter on the Volkswagen Passat B6

To replace the fuel filter on the Volkswagen Passat, open the front bonnet and locate the filter body on the passenger side near the windscreen washer reservoir. Using a T20 Torx spanner, remove the five screws from the cover, lift it while freeing the connected pipes, and pull out the old filter element.

Place a cloth over the body to prevent dirt from entering. Remove the old gasket from the cover and replace it with a new one. Insert the new filter into the cover and slowly fit it back into the body to avoid fuel leaks.

Tighten the screws and finish the operation with a torque wrench set to 9 Nm.
