Today we will explain how to replace the fuel filter on a Volkswagen Passat model B6. We open the front hood and place a cloth on the bodywork to prevent it from getting damaged during the removal of the filter; using a multi-purpose cleaning spray we clean the filter. We remove the fastening elements of the cover using a Torks T20 key. Excuse me Gianna, we slightly lift the cover in the fuel filter to remove the filter. Using a cleaning spread we clean the housing and the cover of the fuel filter, remove that rubber strip using a flathead screwdriver, then insert the new filter. We position the cover and tighten the fastening devices of the cover using the T20 key. Before starting the engine, we must turn the ignition on and off several times, this operation must be performed to activate the fuel pump and make it pump through the fuel system.
