In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the battery in a Volkswagen Tiguan, a very simple operation. First, ensure that the key is not inserted, then open the bonnet and remove the plastic cover of the battery. Next, undo the lower fixing bolt using a long 13mm socket spanner, then disconnect both terminals, starting with the negative, by unscrewing the respective nuts with a 10mm spanner. At this point, you can remove the old battery and install the replacement by following the reverse procedure. Remember to reconnect the positive terminal first.
