Replacement of Half Shaft Boot Clips

It may happen that the clips securing the half shaft boots break, leading to grease leakage and noise from the joint itself; for this reason, it is important to use metal clips rather than plastic ones. If the boot is perfectly intact, before applying the new securing clip, it is advisable to insert grease inside the boot (using a syringe grease gun) and finally secure the boot with a metal clip of appropriate diameter; it is clear that, for a temporary repair, a plastic clip may also suffice.
