In this tutorial, you will see the steps to replace the auxiliary belt on a Volkswagen Golf. First, turn off the car and engage the handbrake, then open the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Remove the cover, lift the front of the car with a hydraulic jack, and place safety stands underneath. Once raised, remove the wheel from the passenger side. The auxiliary belt is located on the passenger side. Using a 1 spanner, loosen the belt by lifting the tensioner, then remove the belt, replace it, and reinstall the tensioner. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.
