In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the boot lock on the fifth series Volkswagen Golf, as well as on the Jetta. First, open the tailgate and start by removing the panel by unscrewing all the fixing screws you find on it; once removed, you can access the lock by disconnecting its electrical connector. At this point, unscrew the screws of the boot lock to remove it and replace it with the new one, using an M8 Torx key; then reassemble everything!
