How to Change the Engine Oil on the Volkswagen Atlas

If you want to change the engine oil and the related filter on this vehicle in a DIY manner, take a look at the instructions provided in this description and in the video. Open the hood and unscrew the oil filler cap. Then, lift the vehicle and detach the clips securing the lower splash shield. Underneath, you will find the oil drain plug and the filter housing, and proceed to unscrew the plug using the appropriate wrench while using a container to collect the used oil. Then, remove the old filter and replace it with the new one, also replacing the gasket. After that, reattach the oil drain plug and return to the engine compartment to refill the system with new oil.
