Operation: How to replace the VW Golf MK7 steering wheel

With these steps we will find out how to replace the steering wheel of the Golf MK7. We start the car and rotate the steering wheel 90Â ° with respect to the straight wheels position and, after switching off the engine, lower it using the regulating lever located on the left of the steering column. With the front camera of the mobile phone used as a mirror and with a small and flat screwdriver we go to unclip the fixing tab of the airbag, repeating the procedure by turning the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Before going to extract the airbag, let's disconnect the positive terminal of the battery, in this way we will avoid any errors that can be memorized in the control unit. After we go to disconnect the connector of the airbag inside the steering wheel and put it aside, being careful to store it in a safe place given its delicacy. Using a plastic wedge, extract the frame that encloses the radio controls and disconnect the relative connectors. With a ratchet wrench and the right torx adapter, let's unscrew the central nut that holds the steering wheel. We then extract the crown from the ribbed, being careful not to rotate it (under penalty of alignment problems while running); usually the alignment points are indicated, as for the timing belts. At this point we can insert the new steering wheel by fixing it to the hub using the bolt, and reverse the removal procedure by inserting the steering wheel controls frame and the airbag. We just have to reconnect the battery and check that everything works once the car is turned on.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
