In this tutorial, you will discover how to replace the battery in the key of a Volkswagen Tiguan 2. Central locking that must be opened or closed from an increasingly shorter distance is one of the first symptoms of a flat battery, until the central locking stops functioning completely when pressing the button. Accessing the insert that contains the battery is very simple. Using a flat tool (or even a coin), pry open the remote in two sections at the space that holds the metal key. Once you open the top cover, you will see the battery; simply remove it and replace it. Make sure to dispose of the old battery in the appropriate containers.
