Let's see with this guide how to change the key battery on a second generation Volkswagen Tiguan mk2. The battery required for this key model is the 3V CR2025. First we have to get the physical key out of the remote control by pressing the appropriate button, then insert a flat screwdriver in the physical key slot and pry the plastic back cover to remove it. Once the back cover has been removed, we find the old battery to be replaced, then we replace it and finally close the remote control.
