Replacing the battery in the remote key of a Volkswagen Tiguan is a simple task. First, take the key remote and press the button located in the upper corner of the casing, which will allow the metal key inside to slide out. At this point, lever the side edge of the casing where the key recess is located; this will open the battery compartment. Proceed to remove the old battery and replace it.
