In this video, you can see how to turn off the oil change light in the Volkswagen Golf MK3. This procedure should only be followed after performing the oil change, a task to be entrusted to a specialised workshop. Start by pressing the button located under the speedometer, while simultaneously turning on the ignition and turning it off after about 10 seconds. At this point, release the button and press it quickly a second time; a message will appear on the display indicating the type of maintenance required, "OEL" refers to the oil. Hold down the button next to the fuel gauge until 3 dashes appear in place of the "OEL" message. Finally, turn off and turn on the instrument cluster.
