Repairing the Armrest Hinge

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

It is common for the armrest hinge to break, which allows you to lift the lid of the storage compartment: there is a specific repair kit that enables quick and economical repairs. You could avoid disassembling the armrest, but as it is not particularly complex, it is recommended to remove it. Once the cover is off, remove the two triangular plastic ribs using a hacksaw, fix the first half of the new hinge with a screw, insert this half into the designated housing of the armrest, then insert the other half, securing it to the first and fastening everything with the appropriate screws.
