Removing the Suspension Wishbone

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

Before positioning the vehicle on axle stands, loosen the fixing bolts of the front wheel; then lift the car with a jack and position the axle stands; complete the removal of the front wheel and take off the splash guard near the gearbox. At this point, unscrew the fixing bolts of the suspension wishbone, first from the engine cradle side and then from the wheel side, where the ball joint and the link connected to the suspension itself are located. Then remove the wishbone on which you will notice the deterioration of the rubber dampers causing the annoying noise.
