Half Shaft Replacement Instructions

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Axle shaft

Lift the vehicle and remove the front wheel (loosen the nuts before lifting); remove the central fixing nut of the half shaft from the hub, disconnect the suspension arm ball joint from the hub, remove the plastic cover, unscrew the fixing bolts of the half shaft flange to the gearbox; slide the half shaft out first from the hub side (reapply the nut to avoid damaging the thread and give it a few taps with a hammer) and then from the gearbox side; proceed in reverse order to install the new half shaft (it can also be purchased as a refurbished or rebuilt aftermarket part).
