Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Transporter T4, MK 4 - Years 1990-2003
Part: Engine oil

Firstly, carry out this replacement with the engine cold, as the sensor is screwed directly onto the engine and may be dangerously hot. The sensor, commonly known as the bulb, resembles a standard pin with a wire connected to it that sends information to the engine management unit. It is located at the rear of the engine, near the large coolant hose. Disconnect the wire, then use a 24 mm socket spanner to unscrew the bulb. Screw in the new sensor, ensuring compatibility, clean the electrical contacts, and reconnect the wire.

While driving, if you notice the tyre pressure warning light coming on, first check the actual inflation pressure of the tyres and, if necessary, restore the pressures recommended by the manufacturer.
