How to Replace the Gear Knob Gaiter on a Volkswagen Passat?

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

To replace the gear knob gaiter on a Volkswagen Passat, open the glove compartment located in front of the gear lever to detach the lower part at the base of the gaiter. Then, the gaiter can be fully lifted by removing the clip that secures the knob to the end of the lever; once this is detached, you can completely remove the gaiter and the corresponding gear knob. This way, you can position the new one by securing the clip and the clips at the base.
