Replacement of the gear shift knob and boot of the Volkswagen Passat B6

Over time and with intense use, the gear shift boot and its knob can wear out and become unsightly, so it is better to replace them with original parts or with products that have a more attractive aesthetic. To replace them, open the small door in front of the base of the boot and, using a lever, detach the base. Pull up the boot and loosen the metal ring at the base of the knob. Grip it firmly and pull upwards to remove it: insert the knob, already attached to the boot, orient it and lock it in place by tightening the metal ring, place the base of the boot in position and lock it.
