Instructions for Removing the External Rear-View Mirror

Model: Volkswagen Sharan MK 1, 7M - Years 1995-2010
Part: Door trim panel

To remove the external rear-view mirror, you first need to take off the door panel: start by unscrewing the screws along the bottom edge of the panel; remove the trim behind the opening lever and the one inside the handle grip to unscrew the other screws underneath; pry along the edges to release the clips and remove the panel, disconnecting the window lift connector, the tweeter connector, and the lock cable. Remove the plastic cover located just behind the mirror, take off the adhesive caps to access the fixing pins, disconnect the electric adjustment connector of the mirror itself, and unscrew the fixing pins to complete the removal. Then proceed in reverse for installation.
