How to reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009
Part: Service warning light

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Polo, press and hold the Trip button while the key is not inserted in the ignition. Then, insert the key into its lock and turn it to position two to power the ignition without starting the car. At this point, release the button and turn it anti-clockwise, thus switching off the instrument panel. Once this operation is completed, you can turn the instrument panel back on, confirming that the Service light has been reset.
