How to replace the control unit on the Volkswagen Golf 5?

The following is the procedure for replacing the vehicle's control unit: first, open the bonnet and locate the control unit, which is situated at the top of the engine bay under the wiper motor protection cover. Proceed to remove this cover and access the housing. Then, disconnect the cable and the corresponding data and power connector. At this point, take the new control unit and position it in the housing, reconnect the power connectors, and refit the protection cover.
