Where is the ECU located on a Volkswagen Golf 4?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To find the ECU (Engine Control Unit) on a Volkswagen Golf 4, open the bonnet and remove the screws on the plastic grille at the base of the windscreen. Next, remove the two wipers. Now, using a lever, carefully lift the edges of the plastic grille to completely remove it. You will notice two electrical connectors approximately halfway down the windscreen. At this point, it is advisable to disconnect the battery to avoid damaging the ECU. Use a flathead screwdriver to disconnect the two connectors. You can now extract the ECU from its housing.

How to Reset the Tyre Pressure Light on the Opel Grandland X
