Locating the Fuse Boxes of the Volkswagen Up

The Volkswagen Up has four small fuse boxes, two of which are located inside the passenger compartment. One is found in the dashboard cheek, next to the driver's door. To open it, find the small notch on one side and gently pry it open with a small screwdriver or plastic spatula. The second is located under the steering column, and here you will find fuse number #36, which is for the cigarette lighter (power socket). The other two are located in the engine compartment, just above the battery, so if you need to change it, you will have to move them from their housing.
