To replace the serpentine belt on a Volkswagen Passat, lift the car and locate the belt at the lower left of the bumper. Here, loosen the central nut on the pulleys around which the belt is arranged. By opening the bonnet, you can also find the pulleys at the top, where you will need to loosen the central nut as well: this will reduce the tension on the belt, allowing you to remove it from its housing and replace it with a new spare part.
