The timing belt replacement on this car and in all cars is rather complex, we will see below the main operations to be carried out and also follow the video tutorial. Open the bonnet and raise the car, remove the right front wheel and remove the inner mudguard panel. Disconnect the suspension unit, after which, in the upper part of the engine, disassemble the box containing the air filter and the battery, remove the upper belt guard, remove the engine support fixing bolts, then remove the service belt, proceed then to fix the relative position of the camshaft gear and that of the crankshaft by fixing pins on the predispositions in such a way as not to lose the engine phase during the disassembly of the belt. Then remove the pulley in the crankshaft and slacken the timing belt by slackening the belt tensioner. In this way it will be possible to remove the timing belt.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
