Where is the starter motor located in the Volkswagen Golf?

In this video, you can see where the starter motor is located in the Volkswagen Golf and how to proceed if you need to replace it. As shown, the motor is positioned in the lower left area of the engine, approximately under the battery. To access it without lifting the car on a ramp, start by opening the bonnet, then disconnect both battery terminals, beginning with the negative. Next, remove the battery from its housing, also taking off the relevant support, and proceed to disconnect the power supply to the starter motor. At this point, simply undo the two fixing bolts and separate the device from the engine.
