If you want to tackle the replacement of the timing belt, it is absolutely essential to have good general mechanical knowledge and especially to have the appropriate tools to secure the crankshaft and camshaft during disassembly, in order to maintain their position according to the timing marks; start by first removing the auxiliary belt and dismounting the crankshaft pulley; then remove the protective covers of the timing belt, rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks are aligned, apply the tools, and loosen the tensioner to remove the belt itself.
