How to Open the Bonnet of the Volkswagen Golf

To open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Golf, access the interior of the cabin: beneath the dashboard, immediately under the steering column, you will find a lever that must be pulled downwards. This will unlock the bonnet latch actuator: once unlocked, insert the key under the bonnet to remove the corresponding catch. This will allow the bonnet to be fully lifted; to close it, simply lower it until the mechanism locks again at the base.
